AdBlue DEF

AdBlue DEF is a liquid containing urea, and is patented by the German Association of the Automobile Industry (VDA).

Unlike fuel, AdBlue is not sprayed into the combustion chamber, but into the exhaust.

The chemical reaction between urea and flue gas can neutralize harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into water and nitrogen.

AdBlue is not very popular in Indonesia, because the diesel engine emission regulations in Indonesia are currently still Euro 2.
